Robert N. McAllister was born & raised in Atlantic City, NJ. He attended Saint Vincent's Prep School and College in Latrobe, PA graduating College in 1951. After spending two years in the Air Force he enrolled in law school at Rutgers University, graduating in 1956. He was admitted to the bar of New Jersey in 1958; U.S. Court of Appeals, Third Circuit in 1965; U.S. Supreme Court in 1966. He served as Solicitor for Buena Vista Township, Weymouth Township and Estell Manor City in Atlantic County. He was Prosecutor for Atlantic County from 1967 to 1972.

He served on the Supreme Court of New Jersey District I Ethics Committee as chairman, 1974-1975 and 1985-1986 and as Secretary from 1990 to 1996. He was a member of the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct, 1994-2004. He also served as a member on the New Jersey Ethics Financial Committee and on the New Jersey Ethics Commission.

Mr. McAllister is a member of the Atlantic County Bar Association (President, 1975), New Jersey State Bar Association, Federal and American Bar Associations. He was Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney 1990-2004.
